Hotel Management Program
The program is designed to provide learners with the opportunity to expand knowledge and cognitive skills to understand and manage hotel operations at a management level focusing on leadership and major operational divisions: Rooms and Food and Beverage. Learners are given real-life case studies which would require them to participate and provide solutions.
1. Introduction to Management in the Hospitality Industry
The module provides a concise introduction to management function as an active force for solving problems that hospitality organizations face. And what are the tools that hospitality managers use to help them achieve their goals. Learners will be able to gain knowledge from theories,examples, and case histories.
2. Leadership in the Hospitality Industry
The module is designed to aid leaders to meet the challenges and demands of the of hospitality industry. Learners will be able to possess excellent human relations skills, to be highlyproductive and flexible, focusing directly on leading human resources, especially front – line associates and applying the wisdom of leadership theory and experience to the hard realities of the hospitality industry in down – to – earth terms.
3. Food Service Management
The module is designed to provides a concise fundamental on food service operations and management and complexitiesof managing it.Learners will be able to gain knowledge on managing food services budgets, adhere to regulations, standards and best practices of food service industry.
4. Front Office Management
The module analyses the role of front office within the management of a hospitality operation. Learners will be able to gain knowledge on the service standards relating to the activities on different stages of the guest cycle.
5. Housekeeping Operations Management
The module examines the role of Housekeeping within the hospitality organization. Learners will be able to gain the knowledge and understanding of the equipment, tools, and stocks essential to run an effective Housekeeping Department.
6. Revenue Management
The module analyses the basic concepts underlying hotel room pricing. Learners will be able to apply techniques to maximize and measure occupancy and rooms revenue.
